A. While the crates that our products are shipped on may be heavy, the skirting products may be un-packaged after delivery. Moreover, to do this please follow the message ” OPEN HERE” on the outside of crates and insure they’re placed on level ground. Then, begin unloading one pieces at a time. More so, all panels are facing out with a mark on their backsides.
Be sure to install the marked sides toward the inside of the crawlspace. Fronts are designed to retain back-fill and resist impact.
A. DURASKIRT™ orders range in weights. Furthermore, a good estimate is approximately 24 pounds per lineal foot. Comparatively, using the home size 28′ x 56′ which is 168 lineal feet and
your two home skirting crates will weigh 4032 lbs in total. Additionally, the crates are 40″w x 40″d x 48″h. For other products other than DURASKIRT™ refer to their product pages on Duraskirt.com.
A. We feel our shipping rates are reasonable. Additionally, most items available on DURASKIRT.com are too large for small parcel shippers. Hence, we cannot use UPS Ground or Fed Ex Ground
and must use LTL (less than truckload) common carriers.
A. Our products are in good condition when they leave our factories. Indeed, they are concrete products and minor corner chips, varying shading are expected. Remember these products are
designed to look natural. Furthermore, while every effort is made to get our products to you in perfect condition, the unfortunate reality is that occasionally shipments are damaged or lost in transit.
What do I do when DURASKIRT™ arrives?
When your order arrives, you should inspect all items for excessive damages or shortages before signing the delivery receipt. Remember, we do add extra panels for good measure. If your order has been damaged or is missing items, you must note the damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, obtain an exception number from the truck driver and call 1-360-419-9909 to report the issue. We will take care of filing a claim with the freight company and we will arrange to provide you replacement product or credit. If you accept delivery and do not clearly note damage or shortages on the delivery receipt prior to the driver leaving, you will be responsible for any losses.
Roadside delivery is included but must be level ground and accessible by LTL trucking. Moreover, included in delivery is driver will unload crates via his liftgate straight down onto plywood you provide. Remember, it is your responsibility to be there and you must make appropriate arrangements to do so.
A. Other Services Not Provided:
If you request special delivery and/or unloading services from the freight carrier (e.g., re-consignment, re-delivery, etc.), such additional services are not part of the shipping cost charged to you by DURASKIRT, LLC. Furthermore, if you accept such additional services, you must pay for them at the time of delivery. Finally, if you do not pay for them at the time of delivery, you authorize us to charge you for the costs of these additional services.
A. Yes, you must be present to accept, inspect, unload and sign for the receipt of your order. Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking number. The freight carrier
will then contact you to arrange a day and time for delivery. You can also call the carrier to schedule your delivery.
A. Yes, our products can be shipped to residential addresses. However, products will be shipped via commercial carrier and the carrier must be able to access the delivery location with a semi-
truck (18-wheeler). If not, you can arrange pickup at the closest shipping terminal.
A. Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email with the name of the freight carrier, freight carriers website and your tracking number. This tracking number is called the PRO number.
This will allow you to track your order through the freight carrier’s website. We will also include the carrier’s phone number in your email. Often times you can schedule your delivery by calling the carrier.
