What Are the Differences Between SDG™, DURASHEDSKIRT™ and DURASKIRT™?
Answer:
SDG™ is specifically sold for covering insulation. Although it is somewhat the same as DURASKIRT™ or DURASHEDSKIRT™ the installation methods differ drastically. For this reason, we have made it distinct in its name. Additionally, we have plans to offer concrete screws in various links. We will make the screws available as we source them.
DURASKIRT™ PRO Seriespanels are specifically designed for the manufactured home industry. Thus, their attachment methods and accessories are different. Moreover, the geotech fabric set into these panels make them backfill ready. Also, they require engineering.
DURASHEDSKIRT™ is unique as well. Mainly, it does not include the geotech fabric. Another difference is the venting is not included, and the joist fasteners are an additional cost. The reason for this is that many customers are placing the panels on the outside of their sheds using a 3/4″ drip flashing and cutting in their own vents. Moreover, in the future we will be selling a cut in vent. And, as a side note, this panel works great for post and pier installations.
Q: Can DURASKIRT™, DURASHEDSKIRT™ or SDG™ be painted?
Answer: The DURASKIRT™, DURASHEDSKIRT™ or SDG™ is concrete, therefore we recommend using exterior concrete paint or solid color stain. Moreover, we recommend following all your paint manufacturer’s recommendations. Of course, making certain the paint or solid color stain is for painting exterior concrete.
Side Note: Follow surface prep procedures carefully.
