The “Hidden-Vent” System For Manufactured Homes Received Well Nationally.
Seems like this innovation in ventilation has been received well in the Northwest. It has been the answer to a long-awaited problem contractors’ had with plastic foundation vents. Today the “Hidden Vent System for manufactured homes has been well received nationally too.
Above all, you can see the photos showing the clean appealing look that sets our system apart from all the others. Although, there are a few places this system will not work, such as flood plains we do have an answer.
Flood Plain Venting
There are two ways to handle flood plain requirements.
1) With break-away-flood-panels (extra engineering needed).
2) We can instead provide flood-vents. (added cost)
We Do Not Recommend Closing Vents. But If You Insist…
We ask that you read our article about why mobile home skirting should be vented first. But, if you still insist, close off vents for winter. Again, we don’t recommend doing this, but for those that insist on closing their vents in the winter a 1-1/4″ Closed Cell Backer Rod can be used.
How do I calculate how much ventilation is needed in my home? Answer: Hidden Vent Calculator.
